About Rodney:
Rod exemplifies the notion that age does not impede success. In 1997, he relocated to Las Vegas and, like numerous individuals who migrate to the city, he ventured into various employment prospects. Ultimately, he gravitated back towards the field of mental health, engaging in Basic Skills Training and Psychosocial Rehabilitation, all the while pursuing his educational achievements.
Education:
Rod earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix in 2014. In 2018, he successfully completed his Master of Science in Psychology degree at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Throughout his academic journey, Rod focused on mental health and substance abuse counseling.
Experience:
In addition to his academic endeavors, Rod also embarked on a career as a Corrections Officer and Reserve Police officer. He encountered numerous obstacles in his personal life that hindered his educational progress. While working at the Macomb County Sheriff Office in Michigan, Rod dedicated himself to the medical and mental health units of the county jail. With an impressive 26 years of experience in the mental health sector, he has assumed various positions and acquired extensive knowledge in leading group therapy sessions.
