About Gabrielle:
I’m Gabby Tisdol, a licensed clinical social work intern, who is passionate about supporting adolescents and adults as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward meaningful change. My journey of practicing mental health advocacy and studying counseling practices began 12 years ago, leading me to serve the population of Las Vegas. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported as they work toward healing, personal growth and improved well-being. Possessing a strengths-based approach, I center my clients to develop personal strengths that can be cultivated to create lasting positive change and I am honored to be a part of that journey.
Education:
My educational journey began with obtaining a Bachelors of Science in Psychology degree in 2012 at Virginia State University (home of the Trojans!) I later earned a Master of Social Work degree in 2024, where I developed advanced clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and evidenced-based interventions. My graduate training emphasized a person-centered and strengths-based approach, preparing me to support individuals, families and communities while addressing the complex social and emotional factors that impact mental health and well being.
Experience:
Throughout my journey, I have worked with diverse populations including at-risk youth in school settings, addressing mental health crises, helping students build resilience, develop healthy coping skills and overcome emotional challenges. I have also provided crisis intervention services in a psychiatric hospital setting, where I worked closely with individuals experiencing acute mental health crises and supported them through stabilization and recovery. In addition, I possess the background of serving veterans, adolescents and adults facing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, stress management and emotional regulation difficulties. As a clinical social work intern, I am trained and utilize evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based approaches, harm reduction strategies and crisis intervention techniques. I also have a strong background in facilitating therapeutic groups, creating supportive environments where individuals can connect, learn and grow alongside others.
